A pure silk or pattu saree is not the same as a cotton daily-wear — the fabric is denser, the zari is real gold or silver thread, and a careless iron can leave a shine mark or crush the gold work in seconds. Pre-pleating a silk saree well is as much about restraint as it is about neatness.
Our approach is unhurried and hands-on. We form each pleat by hand, press at a low, controlled heat through a protective cloth, and let the natural body of the silk hold the fold. The pleats come out sharp and uniform, yet the saree still drapes with that heavy, luxurious fall silk is loved for.
